About Cathy Franklin

CathyFranklin1.jpg

Cathy Franklin first became acquainted with natural healing arts when she was 20 years old studying cosmetology in Paris, France at the renowned L'Oreal Institute. During her training, she happened into a local apothecary where hundreds of small blue bottles of essential oils lined the walls. Fascinated by the ancient healing art of aromatherapy, Cathy pursued a course of diligent study that eventually led her to the School of Aromatic Studies in Beverly Hills, California, where she trained personally with Michael Scholes for six years.

Cathy was among the first group of individuals in the world to become a licensed and certified aromatherapist. She went on to help develop the training course that established the model for which all student therapists are taught today.

In 1997, she attained the highest degree in a related field acknowledged by Purdue University.

She is now a Reiki Master and a Certified Energy Practitioner in CranioSacral Therapy, Massage Therapy, and Bach Flower Therapy.

Currently, Cathy works with traditional medical professionals in her community to incorporate aromatherapy methods into their medical practices. She also participates with parents and local schools teaching the use of essential oils as a supplemental or even fully alternative treatment for Attention Deficit Syndrome (ADD). She teaches classes on the local college campus offering instruction in CranioSacral Therapy, Massage Therapy, organic energy work, Bach Flower Therapy, and Reiki, as well as advanced aromatherapy techniques.

Cathy pioneered a significant contribution to the world of natural healing with her extraordinarily sacred “passing of the soul” ceremony of High Unction.

She is also an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church and performs personalized wedding ceremonies.

Cathy lives in Visalia, California, and has a daughter Amanda. She is the oldest sister of the “Three Sisters” featured in Patricia Curtis’ self-help book, Legends of the Plastic Chairs.

A MESSAGE FROM CATHY FRANKLIN

"Today, many people think of natural healing arts as 'alternative' remedies.

Yet, little do they realize today's 21st century 'modern medicines' are the alternative remedies to six thousand years of natural healing processes.

Modern medicine is the alternative to the methods of care that served millions of our ancestors in post-modern times.

The faith healers, wizards, spiritual guides, alchemists, and medicine men were the original homeopaths.

Long before conventional allopathic methods were implements for the treatment of our ails, our predecessors benefited from these "alternative" means of cures.

Today, it is our goal to re-introduce those once tried and true techniques in order to serve our bodies in the most natural and unadulterated ways.

The time has come to listen to the ancient voice that calls out to our inner soul.

The science of natural healing arts has come full circle."
